CrossCurrents 2017 was a success! It was an incredible evening filled with jazz, films and arts. The place was packed and the vibes were fantastic. Jacob Collier, the multi-instrumental wunderkind, exceeded all expectations and amazed everyone listening but the Neil Cowley trio, fronted by Adele’s studio pianist, almost stole the show with an energetic rock/jazz set that had everyone’s jaws on the floor. Jungle by Night and STUFF. got the crowd pumping and the Conservatorium Maastricht’s La Mezcla Loca just kept the party going. On top of that, there were fascinating arts/science productions, wonderful silent films with live jazz soundtracks (Nosferatu with Michel Bisceglia and DJ Buscemi was eerily unforgettable) and great food. All in all, CrossCurrents was a night we won’t be forgetting anytime soon!
